5 Advertising Plugins for Wordpress

by Franklin Bishop on April 23, 2009

Advertising plugins are definitely a must if you are using Wordpress. If you want to make some cash on that blog of yours, then you’ll definitely want to try these out. Make easier for people to advertise on your blog or just make easier on yourself. I definitely recommend these Wordpress plugins for all your advertising needs.

AdRotate – Add and manage the code from the dashboard and show a random banner, or multiple, on your site. The plugin supports groups for banners allowing to tie certain banners to different areas of the website. Easy management from the dashboard allows you to quickly oversee, add and edit banner code. Previewing of banners when editing them. And even some statistical values.

Proximic Ad Manager – The Proximic Ad Manager Plugin for WordPress 2.6+ enables you to publish Proximic ad units into your Wordpress blog and increase your online revenue!

Advertising Manager – This plugin will manage and rotate your Google Adsense and other ads on your Wordpress blog. It automatically recognises many ad networks including Google Adsense, AdBrite, Adify, AdGridWork, Adpinion, Adroll, Chitika, Commission Junction, CrispAds, OpenX, ShoppingAds, Yahoo!PN, and WidgetBucks. Unsupported ad networks can be used as well.

Chitika | Premium – Chitika|Premium is a CPC search-targeted advertising solution brought to you by Chitika. It can be run on the same page as Google AdSense, or on its own as an AdSense alternative. See a video about how Chitika|Premium works. This plugin allows you to easily change the display of your Chitika|Premium ads through a settings page in the WordPress admin interface.

AdSense Integrator – This plugin was developed to insert and manage your AdSense ads, based on the last Google rules and AdSense updates.

Let me know if there are more Wordpress plugins to help bloggers with their advertising needs. They have allowed me to not have to spend so much time setting of advertising and similar tasks. So why not get your advertise on.

I have used the Easy Adsenser (AKA: Easy Adsense) with some luck. It’s relatively easy to install, configure, and get up and running. There are some neat options and extras in it that make it attractive.
