So everyone that has a blog is most likely trying to get traffic. One way for bloggers to do that is to use a web site like Blog Explosion. For every blog that you go to on the Blog Explosion web site you will get one visitor to your web site from Blog Explosion. A good thing about this is that you have to wait 30 seconds before moving on to another blog so you know that they will stay on your blog for that amount of time. We all know that people can make decisions within 4 to 10 seconds whether they are going to stay at your blog for a while longer or move on to another web site. So you are gaining in my more time to persuade your visitors to stay and come back to your web site.
I actually tried this web site out so that you could see some of my statistics as to how much traffic I actually got. The web site is setup where you will get one person to your blog for every blog you surf. I actually got e-mails from people saying that they found me on Blog Explosion and that they love my blog. The thing about that is that there is no reason to contact the blog owner that is on Blog Explosion. It does not get you anything so if people are contacting you you really know that they actually like your blog.
I went to 40 different blogs that took me 20 minutes because I had to wait 30 seconds in between. In return I got 40 different people that came to my blog and in my statistics they stayed an average of two minutes and 12 seconds. That is actually really good considering they only have to stay 30 seconds.
That is a little about Blog Explosion and I will update more about it later.

This is an interesting concept. I just signed up for it myself. It says I have to wait for my blog to be manually approved before I can bring in traffic, however. Once I get approved I can’t wait to try it out, not only to bring in traffic but also because I’m excited to see what other blogs are out there.
Great find!
If you do not get approved within 24 to 48 hours than I recommend that you send them an e-mail asking why you have not been approved. I had to do that myself and then they approved me within 30 minutes of my email.
This sounds really cool. Thanks.
No problem. I guess we should just all hope that it works out the same for every blog.
Thanks for sharing this. Blogexplosion.com looks like excellent. I’ll give it a go too.
I just signed up, thanks for the info
Franklin, did you just call me an idiot! What does that mean?
Just kidding. I have already registered in blogexpansion. I am not active over there, so I have received like 3 visitors from there. In my other blog, within a month I received like 40 visitors from there. It seems blogexpansion liked the other blog more than my present blog.
That’s interesting. I just started on blog explosion and I’m going to fiddle around with it. I’ll use a whole bunch of different blogs to see which ones will get the most traffic by what category they are put in.
Thanks for the information – I’m heading over to BlogExplosion.com right now to check it out.
Sounds like a great idea – pitty their website is covered in ads! Its not very appealing to visit which kinda put me off signing up.
I don’t really understand how this works. I went to the site and it didn’t explain. But I do like to find new blogs. Who are the return readers that visit you, after you visit a blog? The same bloggers you visit? When and how is someone required to visit? When and how are you required to pay back a visit? I looked at frequently asked questions before signing up, and didn’t see it,Franklin. Perhaps you have to sign up first to get the answers to these questions, but I am not going to sign up for something that I don’t understand first! Thanks, Franklin, if you can answer any of my questions!
You will have to signup first, sorry.
Going over there right now! Thanks!
I had forgotten that I signed up for this after reading your post. So I decided to try it out a bit. The interface is a bit odd, with the whole clicking on random numbers to advance, but for I got bored after only a handful of blogs. They just feel too random and of not much interest. You seemed to have had some success keeping blogexplosion visitors, but I have to wonder how many of these random visitors would really be interested in my blog. It just doesn’t seem to be worth the effort to spend 30 seconds of my time for one untargeted visitor.
I am for sure going to sign up for this. It sounds like some people have had some problems but it is worth trying. Hopefully I can get just enough traffic when I start my blog. Thank you for helping start my blog because I am reading your blog posts.
Hey Franklin,
Could you help me figure this one out. What is the major differences between blogsphere, mybloglog, or blogcatalog? Do you do any or all of these? What kind of benefits do you see each have for your blog?
Just wondering!

I have seen a few of those services on various blogs. To me they look like just a few more ways to clutter up the page and reduce loading times. Is there really any traffic benefit from joining such services?
I checked out their website and thought about giving it a try, but I’m not sure if this is the kind of traffic I want. I don’t want to attract visitors that feel forced to read my site for 30 seconds just to get someone else to read their website. Seriously, what are the chances that one of those clicks will turn out to be a new client for me if the majority of people using the service are letting a page load without reading anything, just to get credit for visiting?
For me, targeted traffic is much more valuable.

This is an incredible way for new readers to drive traffic to their site. A lot of people are just getting 10-50 people visiting their site per day. You could drive hundreds of people to your site per day with this technique and although it is time consuming it can be completely worth it (especially if those people come back). I am definately going to do this. Thankyou
You have to spend at least 30 seconds per blog per person you get in exchange (or something like that). So, to get 100 visitors you need to visit 100 blogs for 30 seconds each. That comes out to 50min of work for 100 visitors. And keep in mind that these are, as far as I am aware, *non-targeted* visitors. To me that seems like a waste of time.
I’m with the other people who replied voicing concerns about having to wait 30 seconds between posts. Although if it does result in you (me) getting more visitors to my own site, then I guess that’s a good thing. I guess the key to this is targeting the blogs that are relevant to your own site.

It looks like some people agree and disagree here. I am kind of sick of hearing about targeted visitors to your blog. I know that it is easier to get targeted visitors by just commenting or whatnot on a blog related to yours. However, there are many people out there that would wanna read your blog and you might not be a targeted visitor at the time. Just my two cents worth.
You keep giving me more and more stuff to do. I will never get caught up. HA
I use BlogExplosion and like it.
You can always buy credits if you don’t want to visit other blogs. The prices are very reasonable.
For instance, if you want 5000 visitors to your blog, you can spend $40.00 to have your blog included in the BlogExplosion directory and you will receive 5000 30 second visits to your blog.
This has worked for me in that several people who have visited the BlogExplosion directory have linked back to my blog.
You can check out the BlogExplosion homepage for better details.
All I can say is, I like it.
