Blogging School Created By Franklin Bishop

About Blogging School

I have taken the last couple months to start creating my own blogging school. The reason why? Well, I think that too many people are taking advantage of people by making them pay hundreds of dollars to find out secrets about making money blogging. Well, there really aren’t any secrets and you shouldn’t be paying hundreds of dollars for this information. I’m looking at having my blogging school costing only $97. It’ll be a lifetime membership and no reoccurring fees.

The best part will be that you can make money by signing up as an affiliate of my blogging school. You will get 50% of the $97 so it really will be worth selling on your own blog. Also, any of my subscribers that are very active on my blog will also get it for free. I will choose those people when I finally open blogging school.

When Does It Open?

I’m currently looking at opening it on November 1. Yes, I know I will be going up against a great program like Blog Mastermind. However, when I point out the differences between the two programs, people will want to come to my blogging school because of the price and the information.

Why Not Blog Mastermind?

One thing I have never liked about Blog Mastermind is that when you pay in the first month you not receive all the information. It is made so you have to pay $97/month for six months to get every chapter of Blog Mastermind. He sends it out in a newsletter so you get the information over a six-month period. It is actually really smart on his part so that he can make the most money possible, but for me I just want you to have all the information yourself right away.

Why Choose Blogging School?

My $97 for a lifetime membership is one of the best deals you’ll find. With my own teaching, I will also put all the articles that are relevant to my information so that you do not have to go looking for the information yourself. You will get taught by my program, but at the same time similar blog posts will be grouped together so everything is easy to find on the Internet.

I think all of you will really like my program and interacting with a whole bunch of different bloggers on my forum will help you get even more ideas. I will be looking forward to releasing this on November 1, 2008.

I am really interested in this school. I will probably be able to create a great blog by going through your teachings. I absolutely cannot wait to be a part of this and talk to other bloggers in your forum. I am going to mark November 1 on my calendar.

Sounds like an interesting plan. You certainly have a knack for building profitable blogs. I have no doubt there will be a line around the block to sign up.

I am hopeful there will be. I will do a lot of promotion though to get the word out.

Ryan McLean September 18, 2008 at 10:18 am

What kind of promotion are you looking at doing?

Ryan McLean September 17, 2008 at 11:41 pm

When are you thinking about releasing this blogging school?
Have you had a lot of blogging success to be able to release this.
I have a fairly large customer base and would be very interested in being an affiliate for your program (if I can get it for free to see if it is good :-) )

November 1, 2008.

James September 18, 2008 at 12:29 am

Sounds great. Based on what I have read on here I think the content will be worthwhile. Your posts tend to just scratch the surface of the topic you choose to tackle – just enough to entice. Having more details tucked into a membership program is a great idea. And the price is extremely reasonable compared to other offers I have seen – considering the amount of time and effort required to construct such a course in the first place.

Franklin Bishop September 18, 2008 at 2:31 am

Thanks. I am hopeful that everyone will like it. I really think you will enjoy it and of course the active readers of my blog will get it free.

James September 18, 2008 at 2:43 am

Quite generous of you! Having an affiliate program is always a good idea for something like this. I would be happy to join. I am also curious about which affiliate system you recommend and plan on using yourself.

Megan September 18, 2008 at 2:19 am

Hi
I have only just recently found your site and I am glad that I did. There is a wealth of information here, thank you!

Also just discovered your newly announced ‘Blogging School’ here – I would be very interesed in this, as am just about to join Yaro’s BlogMastermind – yes, it is more expensive, Yaro is smart in his approach, but there is now an option to pay whole fee upfront, so you can access everything at once (except the weekly lesson emails I think, so one needs to be ‘on the ball’ so don’t miss out on a lesson!).
I am joining this because it comes highly recommended from many of the graduates (many of whom are now very successful or well on their way), and because I am also getting free coaching as a bonus for joining through an affiliate link, and the coach is a great person :)

- But I realise it is also out of many blogger’s budgets!

So I am certainly interested in your school too, as you obviously know what you are doing, and having different perspectives would be great, plus instant access like you say! Will you be releasing a program of content at any time, and will you be including multimedia? Just interested. Will we be notified if subscribed via email?

Look forward to knowing more! Thanks! :)
(also noticed your link to Caroline Middelbrook’s Traffic Rush training course! – Caroline’s blog is great! and she too is graduate of Yaro’s program – would be interesting to see if caroline would look at your program too?)

I will be looking for many people to review it and those people get it for free. It is mostly going to be my most active subscribers here are my blog. I saw Caroline’s review of blog mastermind and I have to say that she was one of the people that was upset about having to pay monthly. I was always hoping to get another review from her.I was always welcome the idea of her reviewing my program.

I’ll be interested in seeing how this works out for you. Best of luck, sounds like a neat idea.

I was thinking the other day it would be neat if local colleges offered blogging classes – blogger noobies would like an online class, but there are many business people and others who could get started with it but need that one on one direction. I agree you are offering a pretty good value!

Blogging school, huh? So does that cover marketing, SEO, grammar, spelling, and copy write laws? You may also want to through in a no-holds-barred critique circle to help out all those poor souls who think they are brilliant writers, but their work is painful to read. :)

Jamie September 18, 2008 at 12:49 pm

If you produce a smart graduate without a website, I may even hire him/her! Finding good writers is nearly impossible. It amazes me how many people think they are spectacular writers who can’t make their subjects and verbs agree, or write drivel that leaves you scratching your head or snoring. The sad thing is that some companies, who will remain nameless because this is a family-kinda blog, actually hire these poor souls and encourage them to continually produce crap writing without improving. They pay them peanuts, like $2 for 500 words, and these people run around thinking they are professionals because they get paid! Then the Internet gets c l o g g e d with junk writing and frustrates everyone! (Sorry, one of my pet peeves.)

One more comment, then I’ll shut up for the day. :)

As I was reading your post, what came to mind is the fact that people will pay exorbitant amounts of money for a product based on their perceptions. If they believe that the program will make them money without a doubt, or if the product is of obvious superior quality, or if the advertising knocks out every single objection to buying while maintaining a sense of trust and expertise, you could charge 5 times what Mastermind does.

Creating a discounted program is very difficult without making it look inferior to the competition. You might have to pull a few tricks out of your marketing hat and invent a few more to make it work. :)

So it sounds like there’s going to be a members only blog with tons of articles and tips. And also a forum for members to network and share ideas. What else can we look forward to?

Very interesting!! I would love to have more information on the specifics of this ‘program’ that your going to be running called blogging school. I have done a few ‘programs’ like this before and I have seen some really good ones and I have seen some really poor ones! What I have seen the poors are this crap like a business in a box that is some magic formula that everyone should shape and form there business into and that usually does not cut it for me.

Thanks,

Eric

One more question. How are you going to maintain the membership site? There’s a lot of different scripts out there but I’m not sure which is best. I’m curious which one you’d recommend.

The Almost Millionaire September 18, 2008 at 11:18 pm

Man, count me in on this! What a great idea. You certainly seem to have the pedigree to run a successful program. How would you track the affiliate portion of your plan? Do you buy software for that?

Seems like others on here are also interested in the mechanics of setting up a membership site with an affiliate program. I know I certainly am. Maybe as part of the program you can teach how you did this!

Jonathan September 19, 2008 at 1:42 pm

I have spent the last couple of months trying to figure out the mechanics of setting up a membership site – It is no easy task, so if this program would have a section focused on that aspect, well then it might be worth looking into.
Jonathan

James September 28, 2008 at 6:25 am

Well, the hard way would be to try and code all of the mechanics of it yourself – including payment integration. Fortunately, there are membership software packages available that can be integrated into most websites. Question is…which are good, easy to use, and give the best value for the cost?

ZK@WebTrafficROI September 19, 2008 at 2:02 am

Its an awesome idea, you seem to have the knowledge and skill to take this blog to another level….I look forward for your mentorship program

This is a great idea indeed! Blogging is of course a bonafide Internet phenomenon by now and with many people wanting to get in on it, a school would be the ideal place to learn the ropes. The $97 lifetime fee sounds very reasonable as well.

Now I am curious as to what format you intend to use for this. I got access to Max Davis’ program over at Blogging Experiment and he ran it entirely through instructional videos with optional transcriptions. There was also a members only forum. Speaking of membership sites, Davis recommended and used aMember – but at $179.95 it is not necessarily cheap (unless you plan on selling a lot of well priced memberships!)

Digerati September 28, 2008 at 3:46 am

Why $97, why is that the magic number? Can you give some insight on what will be included in the program? Will it teach me how to make a comfortable living online?

James September 28, 2008 at 4:24 am

You know, that’s interesting. I see a lot of prices around the internet that end in the number ’7′. What is it about ending in the number 7? Are people really more likely to buy something that is $97 rather than $99? I can understand the psychological difference between $99 and $100 – but not sure about $97 and, say, $98.

Franklin Bishop September 30, 2008 at 4:28 pm

Since you brought up the question will teach me how to make a comfortable living online? I would have to say absolutely yes. That is if you are trying to make cash off your blog. If you really just go through all the steps that you should easily be able to make a comfortable living online through my program.
