“Digg is a website made for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet, by submitting links and stories, and voting and commenting on submitted links and stories, in a social and democratic spirit. Voting stories up and down is the site’s cornerstone function, respectively called digging and burying. Many stories get submitted every day, but only the most dugg stories appear on the front page.”

If you just read the description from Wikipedia you should have an understanding that it is the place to submit your articles. However, it is frowned upon sometimes by the Digg community if you only submit your own articles. Try submitting articles that are similar to some of the articles on your blog.

I am beginning my digg series. I am beginning a new website at politics.FranklinBishop.net. I will try to show you the best way to go about using digg to drive traffic to your blog. It will also show you what does and doesn’t work when using digg. Here’s a list of some of the things that I will try to lay out to you so you understand digg as a social network to allow you to benefit just like the other top dogs:

-What topics get the most diggs and traffic

-What titles to use to help drive people to digg your article

-What is the best way to write a description to the article

-What is the best way to use shouts on digg

-What you should digg yourself and how that will determine what kind of recommendations are given to other digg users.

Overall, you will get the full overview of how digg can help you bring in a great deal of traffic for your blog. This website will be started from scratch so you can fully understand how dig can help from the very beginning.
