I will be posting a Link Explosion every Friday. If you think you have a good article that should be included contact me. Every Thursday I will be doing a video too.
Taking the “Me” Out of Social Media
If you’ve spent any time reading marketing & social media blogs, you may have noticed a common trait that each of the authors share: we love to talk about ourselves. I don’t know if it’s because I read a lot of material in this space, or if it’s just because I’m too close to these people, but it’s gotten to the point where it’s bordering on egotism, hubris and narcissism.
How To Launch Email Marketing Campaigns Successfully
In the last years, Internet Marketing has evolved in many ways, and one of the most popular and effective nowadays is the Email Marketing. This is a form of direct marketing which uses email lists to connect a group of people with common interests with a product or service. It is carried out by using softwares that let you send bulk emails to target audience.
A Lesson in Comment Etiquette
There are a million different designs, holding over a hundred million active blogs. Despite the endless things which make each unique, there’s one thing which nearly every one shares.
Ariana Huffington Shares 4 Secrets Of Creating A Successful Blog
Yesterday at the MarketingProfs event, Ariana Huffington took the stage for a keynote presentation sharing some lessons she has learned about building a successful blog network with the Huffington Post. Though she definitely ignored my advice to speakers about spending some time at an event to get to know the attendees (she was barely off the stage before heading out the door), she did share some interesting points in her talk that should be useful to most marketers:
I loved this book myself: The Science Of Getting Rich Book Reviewed By A Normal Joe
I just finished up reading this classic book by Wallace D Wattles last week. I’ve heard so much about it from various gurus, business people, and affluent folks the world over. Okay, I didn’t actually hear it from them…I read it! The more stories I read about successful folks, the more this and a few other books came up, so, I naturally had to get it.
How Many Posts Is Enough?
This topic is something I haven’t discussed before and I know that recently there are only a few blogs that have had to come to terms with the idea of how many posts a day or per week was enough. A lot of the top bloggers that blog full-time write a few posts every day but most of us who have our blogs as more of a part-time job or hobby only post once a day and some of us even 3-4 times a week.
37 Ways to Design the Comments Form
If you are a regular reader here, you know that I put a lot of emphasis on paying attention to blog design elements that usually don’t get much attention at all like comment designs. The comments form is another one of the blog design elements that usually ends up getting rushed at the end. There really is no right or wrong way to design a comments form as long as you pay attention to basic usability guidelines. The following are 37 ways other blog designers have designed their comments form:
The Most Important Thing on StumbleUpon: Do Not Pose as, Be a Legit User
The “Social Media Insider” over at the Invesp Blog recently wrote a post about StumbleUpon called “StumbleUpon: 3 Most Important Things To Keep In Mind” about promotion on SU. I found it on Sphinn and while I was eager to read it my face quickly turned grim when I read the posting.

I love these link posts, I always find a golden nugget or two; thanks!
Yeah, I tried to use “some” unfamiliar blogs.
Ariana Huffington? Now, she had major media connections with MSNBC, Fox and CNN. So, when she annouced her blog, they all covered it. Not to mention the Drudge Report.
To me, this is like Will Smith annoucing he has a blog and then writing an article about how to have a popular blog.
It would be a three word post: Be Will Smith.
I rather take advice from ProBlogger, CopyBlogger or this blog.
I’d love to be included in one of these, I wrote a very long and informative post on how to comment on a blog so that they’ll come back to your site, that you can get here. http://www.mastersofseo.com/2008/09/20/comment-blog/ I hope you like it!
