Hello RSS subscribers, email subscribers, and newsletter subscribers. This definitely goes out to all my other visitors also. Over the past two months I have been able to learn about 60% of search engine optimization. Why only 60%? Because no one knows 100%, not even the person that creates the formula at Google. No one is ever going to be sure what one part of the formula is going to do to another part. Not exactly anyways. Everyone has a guess but it is not going to be perfect.
The worst part is that it gets changed every few months so you have to make sure to keep up with it. I want everyone to learn what I have learned. I want to learn what others have learned. I won a place for everyone can share their information. And most of all, I want to prove that the Thesis Wordpress theme is the most search engine friendly theme available. That is why it is basically a Thesis experiment. But the best part is that it is all about search engine optimization.
I will make sure to go through all the aspects of one makes a search engine friendly blog design. I will also explain how to read content that is built for search engines. You’ll be able to write the content you want but you’ll just format it so search engine’s will obsess over it. I will definitely talked about having a link building plan so that you can get the backlinks you need for search engine traffic.
I think this will be exciting and I have been waiting to create this blog for some time. I just wanted to know as much information as possible. I didn’t want to act like I knew it I was talking about when I have no clue. And of course I ask you to point out anything that might not know or I might have missed. I will never get mad at you for saying anything.
I’m not going to try to hide any secrets for me. So to start off this is how I have created this blog.
- I have named it Search Engine’s Guru.
- The key words that I am targeting our blog SEO, Wordpress SEO, and blogger SEO. These are definitely some hard keywords to target but over time I think I will be able to get on the first page of search engines.
- I am using Wordpress as my blogging platform.
- I am using the thesis theme as my web design.
- I have only currently set it up with the following plugins: all in one SEO, subscribe remind, and most commented.
- I did my basic header in Photoshop.
Basically, that is everything that I can tell you about this new blog that I have created. I’m going to try to post at least three to five times every week starting starting on Monday. Hopefully if you enjoy it you will subscribe. So let’s go get more search engine traffic.

All the best for your new project Search Engine Guru – well we would like to hear from you how this all new THESIS works.
I definitely will update you on how the theme works.
I hate to burst your bubble Franklin. But those keywords are not very valuable at all. not only is there very little advertising competition for them, but they only get a couple thousand searches a month. Getting on the first page, wouldn’t be that valuable.
However, I am interested to see how fast you can achieve a first page ranking. I would start by swtiching your title tag, to something with SEO in it. “Search Engine Gurus,” won’t help you with the keywords you’re searching for.
I’m curious to see the effect of this blog template. I wish you the best of luck with it.
Around 19,000 searches for those words by themselves alone (Google). Then I’m targeting everything around those words for my posts. I’m not worried about having SEO in the title. I’ll add it in like Darren added Twitter Tips in front of his “actual” blog title. Google’s system is simpler than people think. I like your thoughts though.
19,000 searches really isn’t very many, especially if they are Highly contested search terms as you said. I’m not trying to sound pessimistic, but I think it’ll be difficult to continually put wordpress, blogger, and blog SEO in your posts, enough to get a first page ranking for reach. I’ve found it’s easier to go after one specific search term, that get’s lots of searches, and base your site around it.
Interesting project! I just started using Thesis myself personally. Good luck, I am looking forward to seeing your results!
Thanks. How much search engine traffic have you been able to get using the theme? Was there a big difference in traffic once you switched to it?
I just changed couple of days ago and my site is very new, so no difference at all in regards to search engine traffic…
