SEO – Search Engine Optimization – Test

by Franklin Bishop on May 4, 2009

I am starting to test search engine optimization on this blog a little more. With just adding my articles to all that dofollow bookmarking sites, I have been able to get 150 to 200 search engine hits a day.

Now I’m going to test how much better I can do by linking to my articles in dofollow forums. If you are going to do this also, then I suggest that you stay on topic so it does not look like you are just spamming.

For this search engine optimization test, I’ve decided just to use my three most recent articles. I believe I can get some search engine traffic from them but we’ll see. I will use the article on Google’s feedproxy, me being a website grader (which I have tons of submissions already), and the article about if you could retire at 21.

I will submit each one to all the dofollow social bookmarking sites and link to each one on many dofollow forums. I will report back to you after one month of this search engine optimization test. I have a feeling that it will work, but there are tons of ways to get better Google rankings.

Hey Franklin, are you more interested in the link benefits or the direct traffic your forum posts generate…meaning people who read your post and clickthrough to your site.

I am more interested in the link benefits. I’m looking to see how helpful it will be to get these backlinks. I’m thinking it should work but you never know with Google.

Pretty interesting. I would likely want to see traffic proof though

From my 150 to 200 search engine hits a day? Or afterwards? I can provide both if you’re really that interested.

The forums are not as effective as they have been in the past, but the targeted traffic potential is still quite good

You submitted comments or articles? 150-200 hits isn’t bad, but I know for us, we are trying to get like 5000 hits a day. How the heck do we do that?????
