I use Feedburner to produce my feed to my subscribers. I have used it ever since I became a blogger. There are many other services like this but I find that it is the easiest to use and so I chose it from the beginning.
Ever since I started commenting on other blogs I have always put my name as the name of my blog. I also have put my e-mail as my normal e-mail and my website as my blog URL. But I have decided to do a little experiment.
Instead of putting my normal blog URL as my website when commenting, I’m going to start and put my Feedburner address. The reason I have decided to try this is to see what’ll happen when they click on my name on other blogs and it takes them to my feed page.
They will still be able to read all the content on my blog but there will be that easy opportunity of subscribing to my blog right away. I have heard of other bloggers doing this and it has worked so I’m going to try it out myself. These people have gained many more subscribers by doing it this way so we will have to see how it goes and I will update you in a week or so.

Little tips like this that you don’t see everywhere are worth their weight in gold! Thanx mucho.
The problem with this is you will get no search engine benefit whatsoever from your link. The other draw back is a lot of people still have no clue what an rss feed is and so they will visit thinking that is your site and kind of be turned off. Remember that we all know what an rss feed is because we are in the business to know but that does not mean everyone else does. Just my 2 cents
Hi,
There could be a drwaback to this tactic of yours. Some people might get irritated with the fact that they are drawn to the feedburner page and may feel like they have been kinda duped into signing up.
I don’t really know actually how many people would feel like the above. The percentage might be small but I think some people might just get turned off.
Just my 2 cents.

In practice I don’t think that this is a very good idea. It will likely confuse some readers who will think that the feedburner page (not that attractive) is actually your blog page. I like to browse through a blog’s website a bit before I decide to subscribe – and most of the blogs I encounter I do not subscribe to. If I was directed to someone’s RSS page I would probably get miffed and think that the blogger was getting desperate.
Cow also makes a good point concerning SEO. Did you ever try this?
I think this is a great idea. I wouldn’t worry so much about getting it back link from your normal URL. I think the main thing you should always go for it is getting more subscribers because at least you know those people will come back to your blog. One little back link may never help you especially if search engine traffic isn’t going to be one of your top ways to get traffic.
Wow this is a really unique idea and I would be really interested to see how this goes. Only problem is your website won’t get the value of the dofollow links from some blog comments so your pagerank is likely to be less. But if you get twice as many subscribers (who link to you one time or another) then this can definately be worth it. Great idea and one that is very unique. Keep them coming I am loving your blog
