You are one that proves the personal writing works. Writing for yourself does make your voice sharp and people here it loud and clear. Internet users seem to be attracted to people that write personally because they’re more genuine that way.

You are right about the voice of those who comment persuading what kind of information is written about and how it is written on a blog. I think sticking with writing for yourself is the best way to go. Running a poll on my web site could really help me find out what information people are looking for. Most likely people that do not comment will still vote because people will never know who they are.

Yeah, I guess it is difficult to write for all of your readers. Especially since most readers like different kinds of articles and are looking for different kind of information. I guess as long as it is goes with the same topic or niche people should be fine.

Very true. There are many vlogs out there that are really popular. It even makes you seem even more genuine when you do videos because they actually see you instead of just imagining what you really look and act like. Sometimes leaving things to the imagination can do good also though.

Very true. Like you said, a blog is like an online diary. I just think that we try to satisfy our readers when we should just satisfy ourselves.

I think that writing for yourself is the best bet or at least make sure to include yourself even when writing for your readers. The idea behind blogs in the first place was supposed to be like an online diary. It does get easy though to write for your readers & stop writing for yourself.
