I think simple is the best way to go. But, you know what logo that I believe is one of the best is the every changing Google logo. While it’s just so simple, but they always and continue to put themes within there simple logo and I just love that! Anyone else ever thought about doing that is that just to much work, time, effect, and money?

Google is an excellent example. After 10 years their home page is still one of the most simple home pages on the web: A logo, a search box, and a few links. The CEO recently stated that they could bring in billions of more dollars by placing advertising on their front page – but they don’t – because they respect the user experience and understand that people respect the streamlined page and don’t like to see a lot of clutter.

If you can strike that balance between excessive clutter and too much simplicity, then you got it made. (Yes – you can be too simple by making it too hard for people to find what they are looking for)

I haven’t got a logo for my blog yet. Truthfully this is because I cannot afford it yet but my visitors are starting to skyrocket and therefore I am starting to make more money from my blog. I also have other sources of income as well which will start making me a lot more money soon. So once I have enough I will create my own header. Great post and really interesting

I believe it is very important to have our own logos just because it makes you different from everyone else. People remember you by what your logo is where your tag line so we all need to make sure that we have good ones. I have been trying to think a a good logo for my new blog I am creating but I might have you help me out.

I had never given this much thought – but then I came across a log that was a google lookalike logo – and the importance of branding was staring me right in the face (so to speak).

Simple has always been good – i hate the clutter some sites have and avoid them.

I completely agree with you. Some web sites has so much clutter and are so disorganized that they actually scare visitors away.
